This policy explains how www.traceassists.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what each one does, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Our Site is operated by Trace Assists Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16040687, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration ZB811303. Email [email protected].
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. The law covers a wider group of storage and access technologies, including pixels, tags, software development kits and local storage, which do similar things. We use the word "cookies" throughout this policy to cover all of them.
First party cookies are set by us. Third party cookies are set by another organisation whose service we use on Our Site.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
3.1 When you first visit Our Site you will see a cookie banner with three options: Accept all, Decline all and Manage cookies. Nothing other than the cookies described in 3.2 and 3.3 is set until you choose.
3.2 Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. Without them Our Site cannot work properly, for example keeping what you have typed into a form, or protecting Our Site from abuse.
3.3 Since 5 February 2026, UK law has allowed two further categories to be set without consent. We rely on these only where every one of the following is true:
the cookie's sole purpose is either (a) collecting statistics about how Our Site is used so we can improve it, or (b) adapting how Our Site appears or works to suit a choice you have made;
the information collected is not shared with anyone else, other than a supplier helping us make those improvements on our instructions;
we tell you clearly what the cookie does before it is set, which is what this section and the table in section 4 are for; and
you have a simple, free way to object, and you have not objected.
These exemptions never cover advertising, targeting, or anything that identifies, tracks or monitors you as an individual or follows you across other websites. Google Analytics is not covered, because Google also uses the data for its own purposes, so we only set it with your consent.
3.4 To object to the exempt cookies, open Manage cookies in the banner or the Cookie Settings link in our footer, and switch off the statistical and appearance categories. You can also email [email protected]. There is no charge and it takes effect straight away.
3.5 Advertising, targeting and social media pixels always need your consent. We do not set these unless you accept them.
3.6 You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
3.7 We keep a record of your cookie choice for 12 months, then ask you again.
